Privacy Policy

Effective date: 22 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Enova Mart handles personal data when you browse, create an account, buy, sell, contact support or otherwise use the marketplace.

1. Data we collect

Depending on how you use Enova Mart, we may collect account and identity details; phone, email and delivery address; seller business and verification details; product, cart, order, payment-status and return records; messages and support evidence; device, browser, IP address, cookie and activity information; and preferences or consent choices. Payment providers may process sensitive payment credentials directly; Enova Mart should receive only the information needed to confirm and support the transaction.

2. Why we use data

We use personal data to create and secure accounts, connect customers and sellers, process and deliver orders, provide support, prevent fraud, enforce marketplace rules, improve performance, comply with legal obligations and send service communications. Marketing messages are sent only where permitted, and you may opt out of non-essential marketing.

3. Legal grounds

We process data where it is necessary to perform a transaction or provide requested services, comply with law, protect legitimate marketplace and security interests, or act on valid consent where consent is required. Consent may be withdrawn for future processing without affecting processing already lawfully completed.

4. Cookies and similar technology

Essential cookies help maintain sessions, carts, language choices and security. Analytics or advertising technologies, where enabled, help measure and improve the service. Browser controls can limit cookies, but disabling essential cookies may prevent account or checkout features from working.

5. When data is shared

Order information is shared with the relevant seller, delivery provider and payment provider as needed to complete and support a purchase. We may also use carefully selected hosting, communications, analytics, security and professional service providers under appropriate obligations. Data may be disclosed when required by law, to protect users and the public, or in connection with a lawful business restructuring. We do not sell personal data merely for another party's independent advertising.

6. Retention and security

We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, including transaction records, legal compliance, fraud prevention and dispute handling. Retention periods vary by record and applicable law. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, but no Internet service can promise absolute security. Contact us promptly if you believe your account or data has been compromised.

7. International processing

Some service providers may process data outside Ethiopia. Where this occurs, Enova Mart will use measures required by applicable law to protect the data and govern the transfer.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable Ethiopian data-protection law and lawful exceptions, you may request access to personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, withdraw consent and complain to the competent authority. We may need to verify identity before acting on a request and may retain information that the law requires us to keep.

9. Children

Enova Mart is not directed to children who cannot lawfully consent or contract on their own. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor's use and contact us if a child's data was provided without proper authorization.

10. Updates and contact

We may update this policy to reflect service or legal changes and will revise the effective date. For privacy questions or rights requests, call 0910530879. Please describe the request and the account or order concerned without sending passwords or payment PINs.
